We’re excited to share a major clean energy milestone: our 6 MW solar project in Ellington, Connecticut has completed construction and expects to receive Permission to Operate in January 2026, marking an important step forward in expanding access to affordable, renewable energy across the region.

This project brings together environmental stewardship and community impact. The site will be maintained through sheep grazing, a sustainable land-management practice that supports local agriculture while keeping the solar facility operating efficiently. Even more importantly, the energy generated will directly benefit low- and moderate-income households within the Eversource utility territory, helping to ensure that the transition to clean energy is both inclusive and equitable.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who helped make this project possible, from project partners and local stakeholders to the dedicated professionals who carried it across the finish line, including the team at CTEC Solar. We’re proud of what this project represents and excited to see the positive impact it will continue to deliver for the Ellington community and beyond.
