As the summer sun graces us, Community Power Group (CPG) is thrilled to have a dynamic group of five talented interns to our team.
-
- Isabel Limao: She is a rising senior at Sidwell Friends School. One of her main interests is climate change and its solutions, which is why she am excited to be interning at CPG, which is forwarding the transition to renewable energy. She look forward to learning more about the process of developing solar, and especially the most effective ways to communicate the benefits of solar to landowners.
- Jack Rosenstein: He is a rising senior at Sidwell Friends School. He is looking forward to continue to forward by research skills and help CPG find possible sites. He is also excited to collaborate with fellow interns.
- Misha Ovcharen: He is super excited to intern with CPG this summer! He’s interested in economics and finance, and is looking forward to learning more about business development, leasing, and real estate development processes. CPG is dedicated to bringing cleaner energy to communities across the US while benefiting landowners, and he’s very excited to be a part of the journey!
- Peppin Thomas: He is a rising senior at Sidwell Friends School in DC. He has interests in soccer, lacrosse and hockey as well as music. He is excited to learn about economics and policy surrounding renewable energy in the DMV.
- Tillie Owen: She is a rising senior at Sidwell Friends School. She is interested in engineering, environmental action, sustainability, and physics. She chose CPG because of their commitment to developing greener energy in a way that benefits landowners and her desire to learn about all the phases of solar development.
What They’ll Be Doing
Our interns will be involved in the business development stages of our solar facilities. They have been learning about how solar power works and the solar development life cycle. They have been using this knowledge to identify land suitable for solar and contacting the landowners.
